hot air balloon safari pinjore:
The Pinjore-Kalka Hot Air Balloon Safari project, situated in the Panchkula region, serves as the entry point to Himachal Pradesh and boasts significant tourism prospects.
On Wednesday, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar emphasized the abundant potential for adventure tourism within the state as he officially launched a hot air balloon safari project in the Panchkula district’s Pinjore area.
This endeavor will not only bestow a fresh identity upon the region but also contribute to the generation of employment opportunities,” stated Khattar, who, along with Assembly Speaker Gian Chand Gupta and Tourism Minister Kanwar Pal, embarked on a hot air balloon journey, during an interaction with the press.
Pinjore-Kalka, located in the Panchkula region, serves as the entry point to Himachal Pradesh and boasts substantial tourism potential, he noted.
To ensure the financial sustainability of the hot air balloon nature safari project operated by the company, Khattar announced that the state government would provide a grant of ₹72 lakh over a two-year period as Viability Gap Funding (VGF).
He mentioned that the company has set a price of ₹13,000 per person for each balloon ride aimed at tourists.
Furthermore, following the Pinjore event, Khattar also inaugurated water and adventure sports activities at the Hathnikund Barrage in Yamunanagar district.
He mentioned that a park is currently under development at Hathnikund Barrage, and it will be named in honor of India’s former Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
During the event, Khattar expressed that tourism is an industry that has a universal appeal, attracting people from all corners of the globe.
He further emphasized that wherever tourism thrives, it is accompanied by evident regional development and a boost in employment opportunities for the local population.
Reflecting on his experience during the hot air balloon ride in Pinjore, the 69-year-old Khattar shared, “We frequently travel by airplanes and helicopters, but this experience is truly unique. The direction of the wind during the hot air balloon’s flight plays a crucial role. Those piloting it must carefully select a clear landing area. During the journey, I also had the chance to observe numerous wild animals. Thus, I can confidently say that this experience was truly remarkable.
Subsequently, in a Hindi-language post on X, Khattar expressed, “Tourists are warmly welcomed to Haryana! Over the past nine years, we have undertaken unprecedented efforts to position Haryana prominently on the tourism map.”
He further added, “Today, by taking another progressive stride, we have inaugurated the hot air balloon safari in Pinjore to boost adventure tourism endeavors. Undoubtedly, this initiative will not only bestow a fresh identity upon the area but will also generate employment opportunities,” as per Khattar’s post.
An official statement released in this regard highlighted that the chief minister has played a pivotal role in advancing adventure sports activities within Haryana over the past nine years.
The Shivalik mountain range has been transformed into a vibrant center for adventure sports, and now, Pinjore is being groomed as an emerging tourism destination, the statement asserted.
This development will not only introduce tourists to novel activities but also immerse them in the rich historical heritage of Pinjore.
A comprehensive strategy is being formulated to entice international tourists to Haryana. As part of this vision, an extensive 10,000-acre expanse is undergoing development as the world’s largest jungle safari park nestled within the Aravalli mountain range spanning Gurugram and Nuh districts.
Upon its completion, this ambitious endeavor will serve a dual purpose, contributing not only to the preservation of the Aravalli mountain range but also to the enhancement of tourism in the Gurugram and Nuh regions, as indicated in the statement.
Anticipated to draw a substantial number of visitors from the national capital and its neighboring areas, this jungle safari park will concurrently create employment opportunities for the local populace.
In a bid to further invigorate tourism in Haryana and accentuate eco-tourism within the enchanting Morni hills, a range of activities including trekking, mountain biking trails, and an array of water sports have been granted recognition. Furthermore, the Forest Department has actively promoted eco-tourism in the picturesque Morni hills.
Several endeavors encompassing eco-tourism, including camping, off-road expeditions, and tours of herbal gardens, have been set in motion, as detailed in the official statement.
Furthermore, there is a comprehensive strategy to transform the region extending from Kalka to Kalesar into a prominent tourist destination, with a substantial allocation of approximately ₹1,200 crore earmarked for its development.
